We inform you that, in order to strengthen the prevention and control of the virus circulation and in compliance with the International Health Regulations (IHR 2005), the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador will implement the mandatory requirement to present the International Certificate of Vaccination against yellow fever as of May 12, 2025.
What is important to keep in mind?
- This requirement applies to travelers of nationality or residence of Peru, Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil and for travelers of any nationality or residence who have stayed more than 10 days in transit or visit in those countries before entering Ecuador.
- The certificate must indicate that the vaccination was received at least 10 days before travel.
- Ecuadorians or residents without vaccination history and who have a scheduled trip to risk areas in the Ecuadorian Amazon (Sucumbíos, Orellana, Napo, Pastaza, Morona Santiago and Zamora Chinchipe) should be vaccinated 10 days before traveling.
