Avianca informs passengers with confirmed reservations between January 27 and January 30, 2026, on flights to and from IAD, JFK, YYZ, and YUL that itinerary change flexibility is available with no penalty fee or fare difference, due to weather conditions (storm in the United States and Canada), for travel up to 3 days before the original departure date, subject to availability.
Likewise, the customer may change the return segment under the same conditions as the affected segment, even if it is not affected, as long as it is included in the same ticket or on separate tickets, provided both are issued by Avianca.
Conditions for waiver application:
Travel up to 3 days before the original flight date.
No fare difference will be charged.
Route changes are not permitted.
Changes must be on the same route or common points and in the same cabin, subject to availability.
For Amadeus agencies, the process must be handled as a voluntary change, as it is parameterized by DW.
Non-Amadeus agencies must follow the self-service change process instructions for travel agencies.
Applies to group reservations with deposit and without ticket issuance.
Applies to group reservations with tickets already issued.
If the passenger chooses to change the route, the passenger must cover by their own means the transportation to or from the new destination.
