Waiver 260221CIJC
Avianca informs passengers with confirmed reservations from February 22 to 24, 2026, on flights to and from JFK, who are unable to travel due to weather conditions (storm in the United States), that flexibility has been granted to change their itinerary without penalty or fare difference. Travel may be rescheduled for up to 15 days after operations resume, subject to availability.
Conditions for the Application of the Waiver:
The waiver applies to all passengers with reservations from February 22 to 24, 2026, on flights to and from JFK who are unable to travel due to weather conditions (storm in the United States). These passengers may change their itinerary without penalty or fare difference and travel up to 15 days after operations resume, subject to availability.
Likewise, customers may change their return flight under the same conditions as the affected segment, even if the return flight is not affected, provided it is on the same ticket or on separate tickets as long as both are issued by Avianca.
Travel may be rescheduled up to 8 days before or 15 days after the original affected flight date.
No change penalty fee applies.
No fare difference applies.
Route changes are not permitted.
Changes must be made on the same route or common points and in the same cabin, subject to availability.
For Amadeus agencies, the process must be handled as a voluntary change, as it is parameterized under DW.
Non-Amadeus agencies must follow the self-service change process instructions for travel agencies.
Applies to group bookings with deposit, without tickets issued.
Applies to group bookings with tickets already issued.
If a passenger chooses to change the route, they must arrange and cover transportation to or from the new destination at their own expense.
