Waiver 260221CIJC
Avianca informs passengers with confirmed reservations from February 22 to 25, 2026, on flights to and from JFK, BOS, and IAD, who are unable to travel due to weather conditions (storm in the United States), that flexibility has been granted to change their itinerary without penalty or fare difference, for travel up to 15 days after operations resume, subject to availability.
Conditions for the application of the waiver:
The exemption applies to all passengers with reservations from February 22 to 25, 2026, on flights to and from JFK, BOS, and IAD, who are unable to travel due to weather conditions (storm in the United States). Flexibility is granted to change their itinerary without penalty or fare difference, for travel up to 15 days after operations resume, subject to availability.
Likewise, the customer may reschedule the return flight under the same conditions as the affected segment, even if the return flight is not affected, provided it is on the same ticket or on separate tickets that are both issued by Avianca.
Travel may be rescheduled up to 8 days before or 15 days after the original affected flight date.
No change penalty will apply.
No fare difference will apply.
Route changes are not permitted.
Changes must maintain the same route (or common points) and same cabin, subject to availability.
For Amadeus agencies, the process must be handled as a voluntary change, as it is parameterized under DW.
Non-Amadeus agencies must follow the self-service change process instructions for travel agencies.
Applies to group reservations with deposit, without ticket issuance.
Applies to group reservations with tickets already issued.
If the passenger chooses to change the route, they must assume responsibility for transportation to or from the new destination at their own expense.
