An exemption is activated to provide flexibility to passengers traveling today, August 10, 2026, on domestic flights in Colombia due to seismic activity in various areas of the country.
Similarly, customers may change their return flight under the same conditions as the affected segment, even if the return is not directly affected, provided it is on the same ticket or across different tickets as long as both are issued by Avianca.
Conditions for Waiver Application:
- Applies to all channels; itinerary changes are permitted only for affected customers traveling on August 10, 2026, on DOMCO flights, including local and connecting passengers.
- Applies to change the flight date up to 15 days after the original flight.
- Rerouting is permitted only between common points.
- No penalty fee applies for itinerary changes.
- No fare difference fee applies.

- Applies to all fares.
- Changes apply within the same cabin.
- Waiver does not apply to cabin upgrades/downgrades.
- If the traveler has checked baggage, internal handling must be ensured.

- Changes are subject to availability on open flights published in the GDS.
- Waiver applies to reserved and confirmed group bookings provided they carry an AVG plate.
- Applies to group bookings with a deposit, without ticket issuance.
- Applies to group bookings with issued tickets.
Whenever the passenger opts for a reroute, they must arrange and cover their own transportation to or from their new destination.
