Fee waiver notification due to earthquake in Panama 09OCT26
Flexibility measures have been activated for passengers affected by the earthquake in Panama City.
Applies to:
Tickets issued on or before October 9, 2026.
Passengers with confirmed AVAGIL tickets on flights to/from Panama with travel dates on October 9 and 10, 2026.
Likewise, customers may reschedule their return flight under the same conditions as the impacted segment—even if the return flight is not directly affected—provided it is under the same ticket or across separate tickets that are both issued by Avianca.
Conditions:
Date change: Rescheduling allowed within up to 15 days of the original itinerary.
Route change: Permitted without penalty or fare difference.
Refund: Applies according to the established procedure.
Important Notes:
Applies to all fare types.
Changes apply in the same cabin class as the original flight.
For checked baggage, internal airport handling must be verified and ensured.
Compensation does not apply to customers who miss connections.
Changes are subject to flight availability open for sale in the GDS.
The waiver applies to reserved and confirmed group bookings, provided they hold AVG plate validation.
Applies to group bookings with a deposit made, prior to ticket issuance.
Applies to all tickets issued through any sales channel.
