Waiver 10391
A waiver is activated that applies to all passengers with reservations from December 25 to 27, 2025 on flights TO OR FROM JFK that are affected for travel due to weather conditions (snowstorm at JFK). Passengers will have flexibility to make changes to their itinerary without payment of penalties or fare differences, to travel up to 30 days after operations resume, subject to availability.
Likewise, the customer may change the return segment under the same conditions as the affected segment, even if it is not affected, as long as it is on the same ticket or on different tickets, provided both are under Avianca’s control.
Conditions for waiver application:
Travel up to 8 days before or 30 days after the date of the originally affected flight.
No fare difference charge applies.
Route changes are not permitted.
Changes apply to the same route or common points and the same cabin, subject to availability.
For Amadeus agencies, the process must be handled as a voluntary change, as it is parameterized by DW.
Non-Amadeus agencies must follow the self-service change process instructions for travel agencies.
Applies to group reservations with deposit and without ticket issuance.
Applies to group reservations with issued tickets.
If the passenger chooses a route change, the passenger must assume transportation to or from the new destination at their own expense.
